Recently the current President
of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo has vowed that the Philippine
Government will continue to support the call center industry by approving a significant
budget to the education department to train and educate young and old students in
computers, basic internet, and English writing and speaking. Today
95% of the country’s population can deliver fluently and understand English effectively.
With the United States being closely tied together with the Filipino people
majority of the population is well tuned to the Western culture than most of the
Asian countries. With highly skilled trainers within the call center
industries, Call center employees can easily relate to the different cultures around
the world, even with the change to variety of accents that are required for some
companies.

PEOPLE
In the start of the millenium the Philippines government started to venture out
to the call center industry by having four major contact centers start to do outsourcing
business within Manila.

CONTACTS
With the increase of call center businesses, the employment rate
increased dramatically since the year 2000, and everyday it is still giving thousands
of Filipinos stable high paying jobs.
BUSINESS

The outsourcing business in the Philippines has been one of the most important sources
of economic growth in the country since the year 2000. Today investors
have established numerous call centers across the Philippines from small call center
of 1000 employees to large centers with 10,000 employees.

|
Currently the Philippines are closely ranked second to India as
one of the leading countries with Outsourcing Businesses. The reason
for the major boom within the industry in the Philippines is because investors would
place more centers in a country that has lower cost of labor with a better infrastructure
including the state of the art technology, compared to other Asian countries.
